Chicago Bears

Congrats to "da Bears" :whoopee: Sunny South Florida is waiting for you!
I was OK with either NFC team winning, but I really hope Peyton Manning and the Colts can pull it off against New England!

As I said in a different thread, I would love to see the Colts play, but the last time the Bears won the big game, they beat the Patriots. I'm sure that if they do win, they will want to play this new game for the old one in which they lost. Bring it on. And yes, the game won't be played on a nasty field in Chicago in the middle of winter, so playing conditions won't be a factor, but who cares? Chicago will be the underdog no matter who wins.

I don't think they will be underdogs. They proved they have the best Defense of them all. They force turnovers and score pts off of em.

Tab, I supposed after today's game, some people might recognize that, but Rex Grossman will still be the lead story. Rex didn't have the best of days by any means, but when you break down his numbers, it wasn't bad at all, and was a pretty good game. The second half helped him a lot.

As to your Saints, I still believe that the mental factor is the biggest factor in sports in that when a team/player believes that he is superior, he can be put in his place much easier. With all the talk around the country that it was a given that NO would beat the Bears, I'm not sure that most of the team wasn't looking ahead at the Super Bowl. I've seen this happen to teams/players all the time. It's just too bad that it happened when it did with the Saints. Next year, I don't think that they will ever take for granted any game. And it might have been the same factor that brought the Chicago defense back to it's best. They had plenty to prove to everyone, especially the press.
