A Red Bull front row. Impressive.

And Junior is in the top 15? What's the occasion?

Tony in 32nd is a little disappointing, but he's won here before.

Go Red Bull!!! We will see how many laps that will last though. I hope Speed does as well in the race.

hope speed doesn't take out vickers too early with his enthusiasm. <g>

Vickers has got to be closing in on the record for poles in a season. Thats #5 this year IIRC.

He ran really good at Chicagoland last year(6th in the Cup race, 4th in Nationwide), hopefully he can pull it out. It wasn't talked about much on here but a month ago he re-upped with Team Red Bull for 3 or 4 more seasons.

Wow, good qualifying spots for Speed, Elliot, Ambrose, Reutimann and Sorenson. I hope they can stay up there.

The guys on NASCAR Live just said that he hasnt signed a contract for next season yet with a race team. Maybe they are wrong wouldnt be the first time.

Spike, word is that he still hasnt been given a contract to sign.......if we can trust the media's word?.............I like him and hope he gets a new deal...or if he has signed can you give us more info?

Well he holds the COT record then haha.

I dont know if he has signed or not, it just said on Jayski that he reupped.

Awesome Bill put the hammer down, You go Million dollar Bill!!!

I also heard just this afternoon that Vickers was wondering why he hadn't been resigned with Red Bull yet. Someone wrote - "Ask AJ." LOL

Jay Frye has to go to Austria to pick up the paperwork to save on Fax costs:eek2:

Where will Brian Vickers be next year? Surprisingly, there is no answer to that question yet. The 25-year-old racer reached a verbal commitment to remain with Team Red Bull for another year last winter, yet nothing has been inked as of this week. Vickers called the situation “strange” and expected to have a contract signed before now.

“We went into the season, with the economy and things the way they were, there were some uncertainties, which is understandable, I think, with anyone in corporate America these days,” said Vickers, who won his fifth Cup pole of the year Thursday at Chicagoland. “So, I didn’t really think that much about it. Right now, we still haven’t agreed on a contract. There were many times where I went into the week expecting it to be signed and sent to me to sign, and that didn’t happen. Why? I can’t answer that. That’s a question for Red Bull and a question for Jay (Frye).”
Red Bull team manager, is expected to meet with owner Dietrich Mateschitz next week in Austria to hash out details of Vickers’ contract and the possible technical alignment with Hendrick Motorsports in 2010. Vickers remains happy with the organization and hopes to have answers upon Frye’s return.

uh huh, happy without a contract. watch out for yourself brian. <g>
