Is anyone here going to the Chili Bowl this week? And does anyone know if it is going to be on tv?

I'm leaving in the morning. Not sure if it'll be on TV or not later i the year. Last year CBS carried it a few months later, but I haven't heard anything about this year.

I was pretty sure that you would be going. The last time that we were there was in 2011. Wally Pankratz and his daughter wanted to run this year and they asked me in Oct if I could go if they found some more money. But she got tangled up in a crash here in Ca in Nov so their budget just isn't going allow them to go. Due to the cost of diesel fuel and other expenses, it costs a lot of money for them to travel that far and race for a week. But hopefully when the economy gets better we can go. Have a fun time and take some good photos.:)

It looks like the weather is going to be pretty warm in Tulsa this week. A little bit of rain and Mid to high 50s and then 67 on Fri. That's much better then 20 deg and freezing . ;)

Kevin Swindell wins an unprecedented fourth consecutive Chili Bowl. Sammy Swindell, Brad Sweet, Tim McCreadie, and Dave Darland round out your top five.

The Swindells pretty well own the Chili Bowl. The mix between them being great drivers and that they build cars specifically for that race makes them almost impossible to beat. I can't wait until VaDirt gets back with his photos.

I'm back, but have some work to do. They should be up in a day or two.

I put this picture up on Facebook a couple days before I left, and it still holds true.

How badass is Kyle Larson? When he won his quaifying feature on Tuesday night, he did doughnuts on the front stretch. But not any ordinary doughnuts. Front wheels in the air, and steering wheel out the window. Yup, kinda badass.
