Christmas Songs

Sorry guys, but Christmas music is one of my favorite genres. I've been know to listen to it three or four months after the holidays. Keep in mind that it's jazz renditions that I like.

I can tolerate them to a point but when the rock stations start with Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Nicks - I'm gone. I really like both of those artists but Santa Clause is Coming to Town and Silent Night is too much for me.

Happy Xmas is so over played that it seems to be getting less tolerable with each passing year.

Blue blue Christmas covered by Porky Pig. The talking part is priceless.

Not sure what is up with the audience in this video, but this is one of my favorite versions of any Christmas song ever.

Let It Snow -- Russ Taff

Another great one. This is significantly rockier.

Little Drummer Boy -- performed by Audio Adrenaline

I don't feel like pulling them up on YouTube since my Windows Media Center is currently running.

I love Christmas music -- mainly because I only hear the same songs over and over for one month a year instead of the other 11 :)

My favorites
Trans Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12-24
NewSong - Christmas Shoes
Mariah Carey - Hark! The Herald Angels Sing/Gloria (In Excelsis Deo)
Josh Groban - Believe
Carrie Underwood - Do You Hear What I Hear
Dean Martin/Martina McBride - Baby It's Cold Outside
Christina Aguleria - Christmastime

My absolute least favorite is Christmas shoes, while its a touching song it makes me horribly depressed which is not what I want to hear.

My son is learning this version of this song on the guitar right now, so I'm being inundated with it. It's a good thing I really like it.

I dedicate this to my bride of forty-nine years, six and one-half months. Without her, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas!

He's really working hard on this song right now. He's getting ready to play it with his band at church. He's also throwing in other things like Wasting Time (a pretty strong head banger) by Red, some Demon Hunter stuff, and the solo to Nobody's Fool by Cinderella, among other things. He pretty much hasn't stopped playing his new guitar since he got it a week or so ago.

They start playing them too early, play them constantly and by the time Christmas day arrives I'm fed up. Sorry but that's the way I feel.

I am usually pretty tired of them by the time Christmas rolls around also.
