Clarett may sue NFL for early entry into draft

I really don't like Claurett. I didn't read the article, he just drives me insane. I really hope the Buckeyes have a great year without him.

Yeah it was kinda funny... :p

A local tv station in Cleveland is reporting that Ohio State will not ask for Clarett to be reinstated because of an alleged discovery of several thousand dollars of inappropriate gifts to Clarett last year. It is also rumored that the NCAA is capable of taking away the Buckeyes championship if these allegations prove to be true

That doesn't seem fair, they still had to play every game and Clarett didn't play any better just because of some gifts. I do understand penalties should be handed down if this is true but taking the National Championship away seems a little harsh. Isn't there a statute of limitations here? ;)

I agree wholeheartedly Bow. Taking away the title wouldn't really change anything though. Everybody knows that Ohio State went undefeated and beat Miami in the championship game.

You are right on about the effects of the incident. It's not like Clarett played any better or worse because of any alleged gifts. They still had to go out there as a team and outplay the other team every week of the season.

Thanks Bow...I read that myself last night. I wouldn't really blame Clarett myself. If by going to Grambling he can avoid sitting out an extra year (as has been reported) then it seems like a pretty good idea. He is so good that playing a year at Grambling to ride out his eligability should not hurt him in the NFL Draft. Remember, he only has to wait until 3 years after high school so next year is likely it for him in the college game. That being said, I still want him back here if it works out. The Buckeyes still could use him in this quest to defend their title. ;)

Clarett needs to grow up before he destroys his future. He has the oppertunity to be one of the greatest of all time and he is throwing it away.
