.......so I find this movie (80's version) on tonight and thought I'd sneak it in while my 8 yr old daughter is watching. Talk about a generation gap. I think every other scene she felt the need to tell me everything looked "fake". You've seen the movie. Anyone remember stop motion animation? Sure you do.
When I watched this movie as a kid, I was captivated. My daughter today, not so much. "Pegasus moves like a robot" and "ha,ha,ha, am I supposed to be scared by this?" were just a few of the comments I heard tonight. So I asked her, "What gives?". Her reply, "well, the Chipmunks (as in Alvin and the Chipmunks) move just like us, real people". Good grief.
(Note to self: cancel scheduled viewing of 1933 classic King Kong.)
