ESPN Classic
Feared by some and respected by all, Dale Earnhardt was called "The Intimidator" for good reason. Beginning on December 1, ESPN Classic will air a NASCAR race featuring Dale Earnhardt at 9 p.m. ET (except Sundays). We begin with the 1995 Save Mart 300 in which the seven-time Winston Cup champion Earnhardt can finally add a road course victory to his lengthy list of accomplishments. With two laps remaining in the 1995 Save Mart Supermarkets 300, Earnhardt moved in on leader Mark Martin and cleared him in the sixth turn to win the 74-lap Winston Cup series race at Sears Point Raceway by about a car's length. Mark Martin, vying for his second straight win in the elite stock car series, led for most of the race in his Ford Thunderbird until Earnhardt, driving a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, turned on the pressure in the final laps of the 11-turn, 2.52-mile course. Earnhardt took advantage when Martin hit some grease.

The made for TV Movie "3" premiers Saturday Dec. 11th at 9pm EST on ESPN

Did anyone catch the Bristol race last Saturday?

Oh, yes. That race is even listed in a book --- Greatest Races-The 25 most thrilling races in NASCAR history. My quote about that race even made the book --- won me a free copy. LOL

i tell you, how he caught Terry on the last lap was amazing. Terry was a pretty good sport about it. I have never seen a car like that in victory lane. Too bad they didn't interview Dale after the race.

Dale did, I think, radio his crew chief and asked them to tell Terry he apologized for bumping him. Since Terry won, I think he didn't stay angry very long at all. LOL That was a great race!!!!!
:) :p :lurk:

I was at that race big E put on a show that night from the back to the front 3 times, i bet he passes 120 cars.....

god i miss that man

de... you old dude.!!.. i would have loved to have seen that. pretty hard to pass that many cars at Bristol. When did they go from the 36 car to 43 car field. for that race, there were only 36.

yea i'm old, i'm not really sure when they went from 36 to 43 If you ever get the chance to go to BMS don't pass it up the night race is unbeliveable

I bet it is. I would love to go there to watch any type of race.
