A witness to the aftermath of Dallas Cowboy Josh Brent's car crash has come forward and says she had to beg Brent to rescue his teammate and friend Jerry Brown.

Brown was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Brent is now facing charges of intoxicated manslaughter.

"Jerry was alive. He was hurt. He was calling out and his own friend walked away," she recalled in a phone call on Monday.

Brent's attorney, George Milner, refutes her account.

"That is absolutely false," Milner said in an interview on Monday afternoon. "That’s not even consistent with what the police said when they came up on the scene. What I’ve been told is that Jerry Brown was never conscious after the accident. She’s a nut and she better be careful with this one."

If proved true this should be published. I can not see any reason for her to lie. Still the same I would prefer letting a full investigation spell out the full details. If he indeed refused to help, that should be considered during the sentencing.

And as a Cowboy fan I hope he is prosecuted to the fullest. The manslaughter charge alone which he obviously committed is indefensible. Most all of us probably know someone who has died due to someones's DUI. I hope money and influence doesnt spare him.

I like the Patriot's too, but no joy with Donte Stallworth being on the team or the TD reception he just caught.

I can see several reasons for her to lie. Looking for her 15 minutes of fame is the first that comes to mind. Wanting to see that he gets the harshest penalty possible is another, perhaps knowing or being related to a DUI victim could be her reasoning. I'm not saying she is lying, I'm just saying that there are many reasons for her to lie in this situation.

It is almost impossibile to say, your points are good ones, but on the other hand she did stop to help.

??

But in a criminal investigation the guilt has to be proven, in a he said she said her claims do not meet the threshold imo. A manslaughter DUI alone should demand a harsh sentence.

Can you say 15 minutes of fame leading to TV appearences and the ultimate book deal?

Now it's being reported that Brents license from Illinois is suspended and no Texas one.
