the city council should encourage all residents to put up fake camera's instead of considering ordering him to remove it. not familiar with uk laws but if it's on private property i'd like to see their justification (and legal authority) for it's removal.

If the goal of those traffic cameras is to reduce speeds and increase safety then this should be a very good thing. If the goal is actually to simply collect money for the local governments, then I can see where this might be a problem. I guess we know what the case really is.
