Just saw on Race Hub that CMS has offered to pay any fines that come as a result of the boys having at it. Anythign to put butts in seat;)

Oh boy  Maybe now we'll see tons of fights and stuff go on since they will get there fines paid for.

If they really want the boys to have at it, they should have offered to pay for tore up racecars. Some of these fines are pocket change in relation to the costs of a Cup car and the man hours it takes to produce them.

That said, the winning purse should be incentive enough to want to win this thing. Let's face it, it seems lately that these guys are just riding around during the first 3 segments, then decide to go for broke on the last. Even then, some are still content with just riding it out.

I don't know what the solution is, but imo, something needs to change. Bring back the inversion of the field. Winner of each segment starts in the first two rows for the final segment. The last place car for each segment is eliminated.
I'm just throwing these out there.
Anything to make the beginning segments more exciting.

I like it, that would make the first segments more racy

if they want to put butts in the seats, let them run a "saturday night weekly" format. draw for heat race starting spots and use inverts to set the lineup. and keep the number of laps below two pit stops between event re-allignments.

paying for driver fines? don't mean spit. teams and sponsors cover those petty expenses. just the humpy propaganda machine promising nothing for something again.

and speaking of insignificance, just a question: what is the history of nascar and drivers on probation? has it significantly altered behavior? what percentage have been placed on probation and failed? and what is the penalty for that?

just wondering.....

Make em run one segment in the legends track on the front stretch lol. The whelen mods put on a good show on that track.

This reminds me of the way they promote 'wrasslin. *sigh*

Forget all this segment crap, I don't know about you guys, but that gets tiresome for me. Let them go 75 laps, that would mean they have to come in for a pit stop. 75 straight laps, you know with 20-25 to go there will be some yellow flags and the racing will be more exciting. I could never understand all this segment stuff, just manufactured crap IMO.

Speaking of Charlotte...anyone need rooms for the race? I have some extras close to the track...
