Ok, so I usually crack on college graduates. Many of them lack the common sense and work ethic that their counterparts possess.

However, one of the two guys quoted in this excerpt from a story, went to college and the other one was too good of a basketball player to bother with college. The article is about Daniel Gibson's implication that he and Lebron James were no longer friends after LeBron acted like such an @ss in his first game in Cleveland as a member of the Miami Heat.

James implied that Gibson felt he was misquoted and said everything is now patched up between the two.

"Did he say that? Did he actually be quoted as me and LeBron's friendship is [over]?" James said. "I talked to Daniel today and it is all good. We're still friends."

When asked about the conversation before the Cavs took on the Timberwolves in Minneapolis, Gibson didn't want to elaborate to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"Yeah, we did [talk]," Gibson said. "I'd rather not say exactly what it was about. It was more that we're both competitive people. We both want to win. That's what it's all about."

In some cases...In others, it instills the perception that they are better than those who did not go. In still others, it gives them the feeling that they are darned-near royalty. Take your pick...:sarcasm:

Exactly what I was refering to.

many professional athletes simply aren't college material. most of those that do go to college rarely graduate anywhere near the top of their class, if they graduate at all. completely understandable since they are concentrating on their *major*, which is whatever sport they happen to be playing. the way college athletics is treated is a joke. those guys are semi-pros trying to make the big time in professional sports and should be treated as such..
