Colorado remains in running for NASCAR racetrack
Aurora Colorado is still in the running for a major NASCAR racetrack planned for Colorado, despite a lack of news about the proposal in recent weeks, said a city councilman who is helping to lead the effort to attract the facility.
"The discussions are still ongoing," said Aurora Councilman Ryan Frazier. "No deal has been finalized ... but it's still very much alive."
Reports earlier this year seemed to indicate that NASCAR's proposed track in Colorado would meet with too much opposition to ever be built.
