Everyone here knows I'm not a Johnson fan but I hope he does it. This is history!

And I am truly privliged to get to hear it unfold (on MRN Radio thanks ESPN/ABC).

Don't count on it. If anything, fewer people are going to want to watch if it's Jimmie year after year. There was a lot of grumbling when it was just down to Jeff and Jimmie and they were closer in points. The other fans are sick and tired of watching the one or two driver races while no one else gets any attention.

Interesting how the truck and Nationwide series are so close and the Cup, with the "exciting" Chase has been over long before the last race. Now those two series are going to be exciting. Unless JJ crashes on the first lap, he all but has this championship already. Or is it at the point where it doesn't even matter where he finishes, just that he starts? I can't remember, esp. since they always give us all those statistics during the race ... Carl will be here, Jimmie will be here.. Now Jimmie is here and Carl is there. blah blah blah blah

I at least feel better this year that Jimmie would still have the win under the old points system. I still can't grasp that he'll be "equal" winning 3 Chase championships with the guys who won by points for the whole season. They're like apples and oranges.

Ahhh... so I see you checked to make sure he didn't live on the Ponderosa and have brothers by the names of Little Joe and Adam? No offense intended it's just when I see the name "Hoss" that's the first thing which comes to mind.
