A commemorative newsstand edition of the award-winning Daytona 500 program will be available to race fans unable to attend NASCAR’s most prestigious race – the Daytona 500.
The program is expected to hit newsstands in major grocery chains and mass retail outlets throughout the nation beginning Feb. 3.
The unique cover of the 256-page program features a special Mickey Mouse Event Car as well as s the ultimate prize in motorsports, the Harley J. Earl trophy – presented to the winner of NASCAR’s most prestigious motorsports event – the Daytona 500. Although there will be 5 different Daytona 500 program covers, only the Mickey Mouse design can be purchased at newsstands nationwide.
“To have the Daytona 500 program recognized as a national brand by national distributors is very exciting,” said Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig. “This affords those fans who cannot attend the race a unique opportunity to purchase a souvenir from the “Great American Race.”
The Daytona 500 souvenir program features in-depth features on all of the events of Daytona’s Speedweeks. Driver profiles, race reviews and historical retrospectives, along with hundreds of photographs, fill the 256 full-color pages.
