Congrats to Joey Logano but as I said elsewhere I feel bad for Jeff, that was his race to win until the rain.
 
How many races has Jeff Gordon won because of rain?

Congrats to Joey. Jeff wasn't the only driver with a good car. Tony went right to Zippy after the race to congratulate him. :beerbang:
 
if that race had gone back green Jeff Gordon would not have won it anyway, Smoke would have been on the inside on the restart and he woud have cleaned Jeff's clock.
 
Master Joey drove a good race (not great but one belying his youth) and Zippy called a good one, also. A win is a win.

You forgot the part where Jeff would come on the radio and say "If he does that again, he won't make it out of the next turn"

Gordon had been kicking ass coming out of restarts all day long. So, yeah.

Did you watch a different race than I did? I'm pretty sure Jeff was saying that about Kurt Busch because he was getting into him.

Didn't need to say it to Tony because Smoke just smoked on past him.

Spike make yourself feel better how ever you can, but Tony had Just flat drove around him and ran away. Stewart passed Gordon on the track, but Gordon couldn't get back by Tony on the track it was only because of the dropped lug nut that he was back by him.
 
As much as I wished they would try to actually finish up the last 28 laps, a win is a win. And I was in favor of a race getting called when it was my "favorite" driver in the position. Congrats to the Home Depot crew and Logano, the "next big thing" in racing. Prehaps this win is the first stone in his path to becoming simply the "big thing" in racing.
 
Bottom line is we could sit here and argue all night about who "would of" won. Jeff, Tony heck Kurt had a fast car as well. Even thought I woulda love to seen Jeff won it (and think he would have) Joey is the winner and good for him!

You forgot the part where NASCAR threw the caution at the exact second Newman began to pass Gordon. Had that Pocono race gone on even 5 more seconds, Newman would've won. Didn't hear everyone saying "the crew chief won the race" or "it was illegitimate" back then. :rolleyes:

There was one other race that year that Gordon wasn't in the top 15 all race and lucked in to Victory Lane.

That is correct.

Also congrats to Joey! I like the kid and was glad to see him get the win no matter how it happens, another win for Gibbs and Kyle and Tony both had good finishes.

Oh I dont care one way or the other, I have nothing against Fat Tony or Jeff Gordon, I was just pointing out that Gordon had been fantastic coming out of restarts the entire race.
