Congrats Austin Dillon

#3 in victory lane again. How long until it carries over to 'Cup?

That was a good race.
I watched the ARCA race last night --- Austin was in the booth with Kenny and the guys. He might want to consider a career in broadcasting -- he was good.

He had to win in order to one up little brother Ty who was 2nd last night.

Congratulations, Austin. No beer salute because he's only 20. LOL

Dang it's been so long since the last truck race.I didn't even know they were racing today.

Cup needs to take some clues from the truck series on how to give the fans a good race to watch. Every truck race I've seen this season has been an exciting race to watch. I give it a 10 as well.

Your right on, I have been watching the trucks and enjoying them for years now. I have been telling folks the big names are in cup, the best racing is in the trucks.

Yep, the trucks are proof positive that you don't need contrived gimmicks to to keep fans interested. It's the kind pure racing I can only reminisce about with the Cup series (and the Nationwide series I've given up almost entirely. There is no identity anymore).

Congrats to Dillon. He was challenged a couple times by some of the best in the series, and blew them away.

The result of the ARCA race was the biggest surprise. I like Tom Hessert, he's a super cool guy but I never expected him to win an ARCA race. That was awesome to see!!!

Also, great crowds at both Iowa races. Anyone care to tell me why they think this track doesn't deserve a Cup race?

Doesn't it only hold 30,000 or so? That would be my guess as to why they wouldn't get a race.

There were 65,000 people at the Nationwide race last year.

A lot of Truck races that are companion events to the Cup races don't even get 30,000 people. ****, there are Nationwide races that don't get 5,000 people.

oh wow, i was way off. I'd rather see them get a race then some of these other tracks they are talking about getting a second race. Every race so far that I've watched there has been entertaining.

You're right in the fact that the track SEATS 30,000 (actually, I think this number might be off because they've added seating a couple times the past few years for IndyCar races but still) -- but 65,000 people showed up at the Nationwide race last year (standing room only).

I'd like to see Rusty add more seats at Iowa (he's talked about it, he's talked to me about it), but I don't see Iowa getting a Cup race since it's not owned by ISC or Bruton Smith.
