Denny Hamlin Appreciation Thread

And then he pulled the flag out bwaaa 😭

Shut the hell up Harvick. Is there a driver more visible in NASCAR right now? No. There is a reason. He gives US something to tune in for other than the choir boy crap....and oh, Heaven forbid.....actually discusses the thinking behind the sport, set ups, cars, driving techniques, etc.....Would you rather have a guy like Chasey who doesn't like to be bothered by exposure? Denny's formula is working, and he isn't asking Harvick. Already purchased my "11 Against the World" merch.

Hope you bought the flag lol, that will be a collector item for sure.

You don't have to like him as a person but 55 wins and dominating Martinsville the way he did requires a thinking driver who saves his brakes and tires.

11 against the world? :idunno: The fans eat up his antics. Some love him and some hate him. But even those who hate him must admit, he's one helluva driver.

Can somebody explain this to me? I did click on the link and even read the comments and can't figure out what this is a throwback to. I don't remember a carlington reference back in the day. Probably just forgot. I wished they would have provided at least a pic of the original.

It's a throwback to Carl Edwards in his Roush days.

Thanks!
I don't know what all the recent fascination about Carl is, while I didn't dislike him as a driver I certainly haven't missed him Kind of weird how he is suddenly reemerging.

His career was fascinating, and he retired right in the middle of his prime. He's still only 45 years old; I wonder what he would have accomplished if he didn't call it quits.

Reminds me of this.

Denny gets to 60 wins I’m sure he will retire.(championship or not)

I am so happy for Chris Gayle. This is so awesome for him.

2 weeks in a row and I missed it because I was traveling. Darn. Happy to see it.

All I need to know is that Denny is a really good driver and has been since he started.

I find the 11 against the world thing to be pure camp along the lines of the 1960’s Batman series. I liked Batman so therefore I like Denny’s banner.

The banner is awesome and is born from a tongue in cheek thing on the podcast. Who else has one? Maybe they should.

The reason I hate Hamcrap is that he really buys into himself, is obsessed with himself, is a classic narcissist, and races that way. He runs people up the track, wrecks others and calls it everyone else’s fault…or takes zero blame. Stands there talking like a child putting on his ā€œinnocentā€ face. His embrace of the ā€œheelā€ is driven by the attention he gets from it. Certain things he’s said in interviews is revealing. When a tv show conducted a tour of his home, you could see how possessed he is with himself. Between the endless photos, car showroom and me Me ME exhibits, not sure how his kids have any sense of their own worth. Then he goes on to say that ā€œa NASCAR championship won’t define him if he never wins oneā€. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚! BS…it burns him when he can’t pull those off. I hope he never wins one for that very reason. A narcissist MUST have control, must have the world all about him. Zero championships would haunt him forever…so I hope he remains haunted. JMO.

Now, his life, home, family, that’s all his own business, But Harvick was right to call his azz out on his pathetic banner.

ee yep. For example, there was a tour of Tony Stewart's home and he has this massive racing helmet collection. Most of his helmets are from other drivers. You won't find any of that in Hambone's house, it's all about him. Look at my cars, look at all my shoes lol.

56 wins after Darlington!! He won fair and square by driving smart even though he was not the fastest car. Good pit work and great driving made him a winner. Again. Sometimes it is good to be a smart turtle instead of a fast hare.

I think he’ll win at Bristol. šŸ˜Ž

I'll go with lucky myself at Darlingon. A caution saved him.

It's hilarious to me how "triggered" some people are by Denny. He does a lot of things for laughs and clearly, a bunch of people don't get the joke. Context is easy to overlook when outrage is the play of the day.

Yeah man, all of those boos from the crowd are really cheers to Hamlin fans.

I’m sure Denny really cares about that šŸ˜†
He was doing fine after he won the race, crowd was cheering and all, but then he pulled out the flag 😁 Talk about hilarious lol. At least he didn't wreck somebody on purpose or jump the start and B.S. about it this time.

A lot of people like it. A lot of people don’t.

You bit. He won. 11 Against the World.

A lot of people like it. A lot of people don’t.
Agreed, and you can draw a line between those who like him and his show, and those who don't and don't like his show. He has engaged everybody, and that is not a bad thing.

100%....and the haters don't understand that they have been had.

Larson is going for all three.
He might just want to concentrate on the one if Darlington is any example. Remember when a Cupper doing that would piss you off? Those were the days.

He doesn't care. You get that, right. Ole Rowdy used to be the same in the good ole days when he actually won stuff.
