I would just like to say congrats to JB on a fantasic weekend and getting his first top 5 of the season!! he was never worse than 4th all weekend long including practices and qualifying!! Only if the race went the full distance and/or the Wallace's were not in the way

It was a marvell to see him up front,Had to boost his ego.I like him like I like Park.Congrats to him for sure.:)

I hate it that Aj's special had to get in Johnny's way. I think that he deserved to win that race, but the cards just werent in his favor. Good luck to him next week at Dover..

Johnny was great today, altho I would loved to see him win!
He did almost got taken out a couple of times but never lost his composure.
Another TRUE GENTLEMAN as well as a damm good driver.
I hope he gets his first win really soon. PURRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It will be interesting to hear what he has to say tomorrow on Inside Winston Cup. I've always liked him. He's one of the nice guy racers, way over due for a win.

Johnny is a little less than pleased with some, but as always remains as gentlemanly as possible about it.

I sorta disagree with him that it was a "team" deal, Rusty seemed to have good car, but not as good as he seemed to want to drive it. Considering that Rusty wants a win as bad as he does, he might be pushing it just a tad over the edge.

Johnny's post race comments:

JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX: "I'm pleased with the way we ran, just not pleased with the 2 car. But he wants his teammate to win and that's how he does it. I think the team cars showed you how they played that deal. That's too bad. We had a good enough lead that to have that happen was kind of ridiculous, but by the same token, we'll just work hard and go from there. The Valvoline Pontiac was really good, we just kept getting underneath guys and the team cars there just turned right into you and tried to spin you out. But that's alright, it's just one of those deals. (HOW WAS THE TRACK?) "It was getting pretty slippery, but everybody was slipping and sliding, so it's the same conditions for everybody. And after we got the front all beat up, it started getting a little tight, but I think we could've made some adjustments and still got pretty good if we would've gone the distance. But we ended up fourth and look forward to going to Dover.

Felt bad for him. He ain't too happy with Rusty, but hey, who is?:p

I didn't see the incident he was talking about with the #2 car. I remember seeing him lose the lead when he and Mike Wallace got together. I can't blame Mike, though. He was racing hard and Johnny might have got a little impatient with second and third place right behind him. I'm glad he finished fourth, though, and I'm glad Michael Waltrip finished in the top-10 at New Hampshire for the first time since 1996.

What sucks is the scuffle with the 2 car is what allowed the 14 to get in front of Benson. If Rusty wasn't pullin for his teamate, Benson probably could have won.
