I was happy to see Dario Franchitti leading the race for quite awhile. I would of loved a top 10 finish but he placed 11th.

Just saw he actually was offered the #12 Alltel car and turned it down. Shows he has a good heaad on his shoudlers and is taking things slow.

Yep, taking an underfunded cup ride can ruin a career. Good move.:beerbang:
 
I don't understand how the #2 and #12 can be underfunded. Penske has some deep pockets and Alltell and Miller aren't exactly struggling either.
Is Penske aligned with other Dodge teams? Everham and Ganassi work together, is Penske the odd man out? Is his heart in it or is he more concerned over the Indy car series?

Brad passing on the offer of the #12 was a good decision in my book.
 
I think Penske is throwing more money at his IRL teams than his nascar teams. The 2 car hadn't run well since Rusty left and the 12 car hasn't run well since Matt Bordelon left as crew chief. Underfunded may not have been the right word to use but I don't think his pockets are as deep as they once were.
 
Penske is a better team than ganassi and pretty even with evernham. IMO rusty was'nt that great with penske yeah he won some races 16 in his last 10 years but did he ever win a championship with penske.....no, did he ever win a restrictor plate race..... no, and now we get to see what ryan newman is all about since he'll be with stewart/haas, we'll get to see if penske was holding him back.
