Congratulations on clinching your first championship. Hopefully you can parlay this into a NW or even cup ride.

Sucks that a Buschwhacker got the owners championship though, IDK why Crafton just didn't gain a couple positions because then he would have had it.

Congrats to Ryan Blaney for getting ROTY, would have rather seen Jeb get it butI like Blaney too.

Pleasant surprises of the year:
JWT not wrecking every single race (though he still did get a mediocre 11th in points)
Burton, Wallace Jr, others getting their first win
Todd Bodine hanging up the helmet after severe mediocrity. It was time.

Not so pleasant surprises of the year:
Joey Coulter getting 15th in points and never being competitive. WTF?
Timothy Peters never being too completive and finishing 10th
Quiroga turning out to be pretty mediocre as well, finishing 13th and again never being completive.

Accidentally posted thread before I had written everything, its updated now :p

Congratulations to Kyle Busch and KBM on their well deserved owners championship. I hope this will allow Kyle to put some of his guys back to work and allow KBM to continue to race trucks next year. :)

It's pretty amazing that Crafton ran every single lap of the Truck series this year.

Damn right! With about 5 to go he was on track to be top 10 every race. Still a damn good season for Matt.

I wonder where the Manufacturer's Standing brigade are hiding?

thorsport didn't win the owners title. in fact the story not being told is why they didn't pit the 88 to fix the damage. I wished someone would have asked the team were they simply unaware of the possibility of loosing the owners title?? I bet there is a championship ring the owners are not going to be getting as a result of not pitting and fixing the damage to the 88 truck. The story was they were not ready to fix the 88's damage, umm ok I have never been a pitcrewman but I could have fixed the truck by myself better than what they did. at one point it looked like they were going to try and fishing the race on a flat tire. If they would have pitted when pit road was closed, put tires on it and pulled the metal, then came back for bear bond metal cutters they would be celebrating the owners title. I would like someone and you would get a huge thumbs up to figure out how much money was lost by coming in second in the owners points. it was probably 20 or 30 grand at least.

I think the big story no one's talking about is Kyle Busch's teammate wrecking Crafton on purpose so that Busch had a better chance at the owner's points championship.

Probably behind the bigger trophy (the sprint cup one, also known as the Chevrolet trophy)

Well, they were out in NNS series full force when Chevorlet was leading those standings

I don't know if that was intentional or not. I realize that the two participants make it a possibility but I've seen that move many, many times in a race when it wasn't on purpose so I just don't know.

I also realize that there will be two camps - one pro KyBu and one anti KyBu - and each will tell a completely different story. Got to love racin' :D

Or maybe the camp that really knows the truth will come forward and fill us in.
