Great run by Ryan, making the fuel gamble pay off and holding on for the win. 6 poles, 6 wins...what a season!

Also give a call to Jeremy Mayfield, he snuck up there at the end and came away with 2nd - though I have no doubt he would have pulled the bump-and-run on Newman had he gotten there. As he said, he was THIS close... :unsure:
 
Did I mention Ryan is very hard to pass when out front?? LMAO

Without some mechanical wipeouts and a couple of into the wall type wipeouts imagine the season he would be having.
 
You know it's kind of funny. Last year, Ryan only had 1 win in 36 point races (not counting the Winston), but finished 6th in points. This year, he has 6 wins in 26 races, and is...you guess it...6th in points!

Simply put, consistency wins championships- unless you're in Formula One. :D

Man, was it not Jeff Gordon that said the driver winning 8 or 10 races in a year are now gone forever with such stiff competition? Way to go Ryan. Great job!
 
:) Another great job by Ryan, and he's now less than 200 points behind 2nd place in the points. He should pass Gordon for 5th in points at Kansas.
