First career pole!

Though mention was made just felt if deserved its own thread. Took five trys with the new team, not too bad.

Other side of the coin......what happened to Front Row Joe? Did not see qualifying, but his practice speed was much better. Back in prov land and not fast at all.

Sadly too, the Wood Bros with Rudd also in prov land, neither practiced not qualified with any mustard. A team once so dominant at places like Darlington.............

I'll second the congrats HS. I would really like to the Wood Bros and Rudd do well.

The Wood brothers used to own this place with David Pearson.A shame that the years have reduced the #21 to playing catch-up. :( One of the proudest numbers in WC history.

Anyway, good job Sadler!Time to live up to your potential. The spiritual succesor to the legacy of another proud number rides with you.Regardless of sponsorship games:You drive the old #28 in truth!

Thumbs up,buddy! Now go get 'em sunday!

Not yet paul, not yet.

If it is any indication, which we have to assume it is, the 38 car was out to lunch in both practice sessions today. Winning a pole is nice and worthy of notice, but it doesn't pay very many bills.

Course winning practice pays less than winning poles.

Could be interesting tomorow, it is a very safe bet that Sadler wants to lead that first lap, and sitting right beside him is what may well be the fastest man in Winston Cup right now, Ryan Newman. Lined up right behind Elliott is Nadeau, who was fast in practice and wants to be out front for world of reasons, and behind Ryan is Jimmy Spencer who is ..........well he's Jimmy Spencer.

And this is Darlington..........

I'm not a huge fan of Elliott Sadler, but's nice to see some new faces win poles and compete. It's a little early to call him a contender though.

I was very surprised to see him at the very bottom of the speed charts in both practices today. I bet there will be alot of changes made to the #38 car before the green flag flies.

I'm glad for sadler.. i think this team fits him well... i just hope now he can start finishing this well!
