First ARCA race win

youngest race winner at MIS.

Kid is a lottle dorky looking tho. Blinks alot also. :)

Good to see him win in his 3rd time out. I hope he develops into another Rusty talent wise.

And the best part was watching Rusty watch Steven take the checkers. :)

Congratulations, Steve.

And how about RC having a contract with Steven? Written on a $100 bill. LOL

I was fortunate enough to see Steven win his first race. That was a couple of years ago at Friendship Speedway near Elkin, NC. That could have been early last year...I forget but he was just 16 and he really showed lots of talent. Very aggressive that young man was.

Bet they have him signed up for media training already. He had no problems talking. Thanked all the right people. Has to keep up with the Wallace tradition. He'll do just fine. At his age all I could do was stutter when a camera rolled. :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing Steve Wallace and later (hopefully) Matt Martin coming into cup racing. Rusty and Mark have been among the best in both class and skill since they came onto the scene. Nice to see the continuity in racing families.

It does sound interesting though having a famous father who's a winner doesn't always make the son the same. Though Kyle Petty has won a few races in the past and is one wonderful human being, he never ever lived up to the likes of his father, but then again, who could. Davey Allison seemed to be on the same track as his father, but we'll never know how far he could have gone. Will our most loved and hated driver, Dale Jr. ever live up this what his father was? Only time will tell, but again, that's a mighty tall order that most will never achieve. Steve Wallace has one major thing going for him and that is that his father now is a car owner and that car team was built just for him. Not sure what the future has for Matt Martin. He still has a way to go. Most of the kids racing today in all of the major series have been driving since they were very young in one way or another. Today, they make things even easier for a young driver to experience stockcar racing with the likes of the bandoleros and legends cars and of course, the Allison Legacy Series. The hard part is to get noticed and then to actually get a chance to race. I'm sure there are many "Jeff Gordons" out there that will never have a shot at the big times simply because of one reason or another. Sons of famous people at the track have a much better shot at it though.
