Nope, Khane had a bad race today, he finished 3rd.

Good for JR!...speaking of Kahne, how did that #9 car look all day?

Good all day...one slack period a little past midway from which they recovered to finish third. Pretty incredible.

great race for junebug I though for sure that the Eury's were going to screw up his pit strategy and cost himt he race but it seemed to work out pretty good for once.

Lappy being funny.........

It was one really good race too!!!!!
Enjoyed all of it, even if Jr did wil. LOL :D :lilangel:

One guy I feel for is Casey Mears, whenever that team looks like its going to make an impact, something fails mechanically and that really sucks for a good guy with a good car not to be up there racing for the win. Hopefully this doesnt hurt Casey's comeback, I want to see him in the 41 car, I want to see him in the top 10 or 15 in points and win races.

I couldnt agree with you more Happy29!! Hes been looking really good the past few races then to have a bad pit stop near the end of the race then the mechanically problem.

Anyways glad to see JR make a nice come back this weekend.

...others wondered if Earnhardt Jr.'s language during his postrace interview with PRN would bring a fine this week. Junior told PRN that after his Vegas debacle last week he would "keep testing even if I have to go two months without sleeping in my own D A M N bed."(3-15-2004)

I wonder if Junior will get fined and penalized points. <_<

I doubt it. I don't think D A M N is on the list of words...

PRN has instituted a 7-second delay on their broadcasts. If the word was said over the radiowaves, then it passes the FCC's scrutiny.

Maybe George Carlin should drive a race or two....
George Carlin would never make it on public tv, he is a funny man though.

You can hear the word D A M N on prime time tv. So I don't think he will get fined.

cusswords I've heard on primetime TV: a$$hole, damn, hell,SOB,b**ch,GD,whore, slut,pu**y,dickhead, ballsack, jackoff, jerkoff, dumba$$ and a couple that i'm probably forgetting. By the way I've heard those on NYPD blue

While I understand what you are saying, steve, those words (or at least most of them) are shows that on primetime t.v. AFTER 9pm. Race programming is very seldom on AFTER 9pm. I am in no way saying that it is or it isn't okay for these words to be said on a radio or tv broadcast. But, I will say that I am NOT offended by most of those words. There is one that will send me thru the roof each and every time, but that's a discussion for a different place and time. ;)

What is permissable according to the FCC varies with when it is on, the nature of the programming, and the context. An "overheard" situation is completely different from an interview. If someone yells a word and it happens to get picked up by a mic on live television, the FCC won't have anything to say. If someone says the same word in an interview, well that's a different story.

I've worked in television for the past 15 years and at times have been in charge of screening pre-produced programs for this very purpose.

That said, DAMN in an interview is not going to get the FCC ire up. The S* word and the F* word are different matters.
