Congratulations, Bobby Hamilton.

Yeah, it was a good race. Skinner didn't even act like an idiot about turning sideways at the start finish!! :D Pretty rough wreck about lap 45 or 50..........hope those three are okay. :(

DEW, you are so right about that wreck. I sure hope all are doing well. Especially worried about Hank.

Will have to watch Speed News later to get an up-date.

I just checked NASCAR.com. There is no further info on Tina and the guys. I sure hope they're all right. Being air lifted from the track is never a good sign.

It was a great finish though. This is some of the best racing around.

Congrats. B. Hamilton. Even if I don't like you. Sure wish I could have seen the race. But had to work. :(

Great race! Nice to see Bobby win and Skinner handled himself well in post race interviews.

Hope Hank Jr. and both my 'Bama drivers are ok. Good luck you guys. :(

Here's the latest on the accident from NASCAR.com

"Crawford suffered a fractured left foot, and Gordon fractured her right ankle. Crawford was treated and released; Gordon will be held overnight.

Joey Clanton, who hit the wall on Lap 88 in an unrelated incident, was given a CAT scan, which came back negative.

Parker Jr. suffered a back injury and will be held overnight at the hospital."

I thought it was a really good race.
Glad to hear the injuries aren't to serious,

an update on the drivers in Atlanta crashes.

HAMPTON, Ga. - Driver Hank Parker Jr. was discharged Sunday from Atlanta Medical Center, where he and three other drivers were taken after crashes in Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Parker Jr. was undergoing treatment for a crushed vertebra, hospital officials said. After his release about noon (Eastern), he was expected to return to his home in the Charlotte, N.C., area.

He sustained the injury in an accident that also sent Rick Crawford and Tina Gordon to the hospital.

Crawford suffered broken bones in his left foot and Gordon broke a bone in her lower-right leg. Both were released Saturday.

Joey Clanton was involved in an unrelated accident and went to the hospital for a precautionary CT scan. He was also released Saturday.

Thanks for the update, bow! Good to hear that the injuries weren't any more serious than they were!

As much as I dislike Bobby Hamilton, I will congratulate him. He had the truck to beat the entire race, and Skinner just about did it! Congrats to Skinner on a 2nd place finish, too!

<Parker Jr. was undergoing treatment for a crushed vertebra>

This IS a serious injury as anyone who has ever had back problems (as I do) can tell you! Depending on which vertabra, it can be surgicaly repaired but will never be the same.

Let's hope and pray that all will go well in his recovery!

I'm sorry kat if you thought I was diminishing the severity of the injuries. I was not doing so in the least! I am just thankful that it wasn't worse than what it was. Because it could have been.

No Maj, I didn't think you were diminishing the injury. I just say thanks to the powers that be that he wasn't paralised!
