J/K It was great to see Jr in winners circle and unlike DPK, I have been there in person for him the last two times.

Word on the street is NASCAR is getting ready to reconfigure all the tracks to 2 mile ovals.:D
 
It was really strange, towards the end of the race Jr was complaining about his car He was the class of the field.
 
It was kinda strange that their were no late race debris cautions.... oh wait nascar wouldnt have done that to JR.

Good to see him win anyway
 
Good to see him finally get one, he might get another at Daytona in July, maybe another at Charlotte in October. He could be a legitimate championship contender.

Yes he could, after all, he is second in points and only 4 back from first.

I'd say Jr. is more than a legitimate contender for the Championship. The 88 team has been consistently good all year, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year he wins it.

Some good old boy wearing Juniors colors they call [j] "DaKookie"[/i] just stopped by here at work, and asked me point blank "Do you knows Dpkimmel's2001? and I told him that we both posted here on the same Racing forums message board.


He studied the situation and I could tell he was a man of purpose that had something serious to say. As he drawed on his unfiltered Camel cigarette on one side of the mouth, and was spitting his tobacker out the other side, all while maintaining steady conversations.



He finally just asked to use my droid to write you here, since he seemed liked kin I allowed him to post the following:


"Dpkimmel's this here is Dakookies, you sure as sheet had been butter being wearing your # 88 or # 3 cut outs while you was a Pabst blue ribbon beach frying yourself this weekend.. If a man blisters red without getting the # 8 he ain't one of us"

Before the chase, this would be a very good argument, but since the chase has came a long, the person who is very consistent all year rarely wins the championship. Johnson and Stewart have both proven you don't have to do much in the "regualr season" to win it all with the chase.

The best thing? There's lots of buzz this week about someone winning a race, instead of the other topics that have been up lately.
 
Congrats to all the Junior fans. I've always been indifferent about Junior but I won't lie and say that it would have been rather funny to see him run out of gas on that last lap. :biggrin:
 
Isn't there always a congratulations thread for race winners? Certainly isn't against the rules so post away and I'd think the admins appreciate the extra traffic/threads/posts.
