Someone run the numbers, where does Kevin have to finish to lock in? Before this race it was 17th here and Richmond.
 
They said he needed to average 17th place on both California and Richmond.

He finished 14th i see. So he did what he needed to.

Another top 15th will get him in.

Junior has to have a top 54 and Harvick has to DNF for junyer to make it in.
 
Congrats to Jimme, but even bigger congrats to Doug Randolph & Bobby Labonte. 11th place is their worst finish together!!!
 
128 points and Kevin gets 34 points just for making the race so if Kevin finishes 43rd Lil'E would have to finish 4th and lead a lap to over take him. If Lil'E wins the race and leads the most laps Kevin would have to finish 33rd or better to stay in 12th place.
Or something like that.
 
Ain't that something. Jimmy is 6th in the points and he goes to 1st when the chase starts.
