Congratulations, Johnson...

johnson sucks and man that race was boring as hell. When there is only one good lane, you know the race is going to be a bore fest
 
It was a pretty pathetic race til the last 20 laps.. Something has to be done because this race gets Nascar it's most attention and it would be nice if it was exciting all the way thru.

Name one racing team that doesn't cheat. NASCAR rule book has enough gray areas for the guys to play around in. The only time they get rid of the gray areas is when someone gets caught.

Trust me when I say this, In Motorsports, Everyone cheats, everyone.
 
Looking for a little clarification;
So both brad and Johnson hit the debris?

Like brad said that caution came out for the one moment that Johnson got the lead which Kes would have grabbed back. Amazing how it just seems to work out for Johnson all the time.

Well congrats to Johnson, he held it there at the end. Knew Kes didn't have a chance once he had to start second. Looks like its going to be a fun year of battles between those two.
 
Congrats to the 48 team...they haven't had much luck in this race lately but Johnson made all the right moves.

Brad hit some steel and it put a hole in his car and bounced into the barrier. JJ hit some foil that blew around. I don't know which brought out the caution, but nascar saw both because the crew picked up the one Brad hit. Like Brad said, sometimes it goes the other guys way, but JJ sure does have a lot go his way.
 
well to be honest, like 90% of the fans at the race today, thought this new car would be a little more exciting.

It was fitting for Johnson to win a boring race. :p At least he tried to win it though -- Biffle didn't even try (again) -- and JJ did what he had to.

In all honesty - today's race was probably the worst thing to happen for NASCAR in a while. I mean, Jimmie Johnson is the greatest driver in a generation and possibly the greatest driver of all time but he doesn't appeal to fans at all. It didn't help that the race was a horrible bore.

Just like 2006 -- get a lot of hype and a large television audience and end up with a boring race and a boring winner.

Yeah, I meant today's race is the worst thing because it compounds that. Yesterday sucked but let's be real, the amount of attention it got in the news media probably attracted even more eyeballs to add to the eyeballs that were attracted to Danica's breasts. A lot of potential new fans turned off by this product I think - but I hope I'm wrong.
 
Congrats to Jimmie. He just keeps padding his stats for his hall of fame career.

No matter how you feel about Jimmie there is no denying that he is one of the best drivers in history.

He made that pass when it mattered, even with Kez messing with him lap after lap. Too bad Brad had old tires. ;)

Yes, there are only a few that I don't care for seeing win and he's one of them. I can respect his talent and still not like him. For example, I picked Kyle Busch in TRL's game for this year and I also picked him to win the Chase in the BOLD Prediction thread. I also respect his talent but I don't like the guy in the least.

Interesting. I think anyone on top is a little arrogant, but I never really got much of that from JJ. Chad and Rick are a different story.
