Yeah, 2013 will be a great opportunity to for you guys to see V8 supercars. I like watching both, but proberly prefer Nascar...... it makes me feel like I am back in the US with our US friends.

Thank you. I plan on being a little more active rather that just a reader.

Go easy on the new guy..... I dont know all the background with some drivers and their 'relationships' with others but I do like this forum.

We've got a lot of "old heads" around here. Lots of us go waaaay back in racing. We'll be patient.

Never be afraid of asking questions.

Welcome, I'm a big fan of the V-8 Supercars myself but the coverage here is 2-3 weeks after the race. One question for you.... Why do they run 2 separate races.

Jeezuz, Andy! That is effen funneeeeee!!

+10 for that! LOLOL

I wanna steal that pic. Is that OK with you? (I guess if I ask permission it ain't really stealing, eh...)

welcome leroy. :) glad markos finally got a long overdue win in a race. congrats to rpm also.

Thanks for the welcome all.

I cant see the picture of not all Australians are happy (damn work computer). Will check when I get home.

Anyway the reason that racing is split into two races is for a few reasons. V8 supercars do not have anywhere near as many cautions... the field can really spread out and its a way of having more races (actual starts and have the field closer more times). however I understand that the main reason is that race weekends are that .... weekends. On a race day the are usually many other classes of racing, by breaking up the race into a few races makes for a more entertaining program for the weekend, getting more bums in seats.

All in all its great fun however its nothing like listening to a Nascar qualifing lap at Daytona...... one car ... full noise.... oh its just music to my ears.

Cheers guys

Good for Ambrose and team. I'm still pulling for him to win at a 1.5 mile track, he has progressed a ton this season on those tracks.

Congrats Marcos!! And RPM!!! HE got rooked I think at the glen last year so GREAT to see him win A nice guy finally finished first. Dale Jr must me the nicest guy in the world cause hes got no luck at all he'll win one eventually.............again congrats Marcos!

One could tell from the get go that Marcos was on a mission, and would not be denied.

A class act, indeed.
