BTW, he his now tied with Shrub for most wins this season. If the Chase started today Mark would be seeded first over Kyle. Not bad for someone that's old enough to be Kyle's father.

Yeah, but Mark Martin is 50 and looks like he's 150. Probably from all those years of being an alcoholic.

True. I guess it's the lines on his face that make him look a lot older. Even my wife says he looks 50 going on 80.

Anyway, Congrats again Mark. Here hoping you finish the season runner-up to no one.

Congrats to Mark, and he is not an old man. In my book, he's still a kid, but does look older than me! :D

I do believe that Mark seems to actually be more happy than he has been for many years. When he was winning with Jack, it almost looked as though he was ready to die in the interviews. Hardly ever smiled while giving all the accolades to Jack and company. After hearing him say how good those Chevies are that he's been driving for the last few years, it's like he's a new man. That smile of his in the winner's circle made those wrinkles look different. Good to see him actually smile for a change.

Those aren't the lines of an alcoholic. Those are the lines created from Mark's strenuous workouts. The guy has something like five percent (or less) body fat.

Congratulations Mark. You done good!!! Glad to see the older generation in victory lane. Now if only James Hylton were to.................
 
I just thought Mark looked older from being out in the sun a lot or something. My husband and I are a few years older than him, but IMO, he looks about 10 yrs older, at least. My brother who is 10 yrs older than me looks younger than Mark. He is in great shape and it is wonderful to see him so happy!
 
Old looking or not he certainly looks happier than he did a few years back and isn't that all that really matters. ;)
