It has been 18 years since the Red Sox had been to the World Series

The Red Sox had never beaten the New York Yankees in a post season series

No major league baseball team had lost the first three games of a post season series and ended up winning the series

All of that changed wednesday night as the Red Sox pummeled the Yankees in their own house. Watching the Red Sox celebrate their victory in the middle of Yankee Stadium was even sweeter :D

As an ardent Texas Rangers fan, I have one question for Big George:

Still think A-Rod was worth it?

As a Cleveland Indians fan, I say anyone who beats the Yankees is okay by me! :) Maybe that makes me an "any team except the Yankees" fan!

I'm definately an "any team but the Yankees" person. I'm tired of the best team money can buy. LOL

Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox, and their many loyal, long-suffering fans. :)

EMP, my hubby had me rolling on the floor last nite. Every time that A-Rod came up to bat, and struck out I might add, he would go......................"Cha-ching! How ya like that Steinbrenner?"

And, you know I am also a Texas Ranger fan! I also fall into the category of 'any team but the Yankees"! It was a good nite!

ANY time the BoSox beat the Yankees is cause for celebration!

Now we get to find out who their opponent will be in the World Series!

I hope it will be the Red Birds vs the Red Sox!

I'm so glad the Cards made it !!!!!

Gonna be an awesome World Series !!!!!

I don't like astros because they beat my Braves. <_<
Sorry about that peyt. But I had to root for the home state team!

Growing up in the Boston area, Fenway was HOME to both the Sox and Braves......When the Sox were away, the Braves would play. I was crushed when the Braves moved to Milwakee, but never lost interest. Now that I live in Georgia, my National League Loyalty is still with the Braves.
GOOOOOOOOOO RED SOX!!!!!!!
