Congratulations to the New England Patriots! They just became the first team to finish the NFL regular season 16-0.

The last team to go undefeated was the 1972 Dolphins who finished the regular season 14-0 and won both playoff games and the Super Bowl to finish 17-0 all together for the season. A classless group of guys from that '72 Dolphins team gets together and toasts themselves with champagne whenever the last undefeated team loses their first game in every season. They are the biggest reason I have been hoping the Pats would go undefeated after they beat the Colts a few months ago.

The other reason I have been rooting for them to win is that witnessing perfection is cool even if you don't like the guys who did it. I feel pretty fortunate to have seen a perfect regular season.

I kind of have some mixed emotions about the playoffs now though. I really would like to see the Colts or the Cowboys(teams I like a whole lot better) beat them in the playoffs, if they get a chance to play them. But then again, how often do you get a chance to see perfection? No matter how it plays out, it will be pretty cool with me.

First of all, the game was bs. All the refs in that game should be fired. But, the NFL had an agenda from the start.

Second of all, Jacksonville's going to stop New England.

It'll be Jacksonville vs. Dallas.

Unless, of course, my Redskins go all the way. I wouldn't know what to do in a Jacksonville vs. Washington scenario for the Super Bowl. The Jaguars have never won a Super Bowl, but the Redskins have had a historic season (and for all the wrong reasons).

I figured that the New England Patriots would go undefeated after how they started out and were unstoppable. I'm not sure if I wanted them to or not though.

I think the Patriots are the obvious pick in the AFC, with the Colts being a good pick, and lastly the Jaguars being a huge sleeper pick. As far as NFC goes, go Pack go!

Congrats to the Patriots (ouch that hurts to say :( ) on what is inarguably a well-deserved record. They are amazing to watch. I wonder if they can really go all the way...
As for my 1-15 Dolphins (we are now officially on the clock!), the game today was worth watching for one reason-the camera shots of Bill Parcells sitting in his skybox suite shaking his head in disbelief at the way this team plays. They cut to him several times, each with the same "I never realized they were THIS bad" look on his face. Hey, Dallas went 1-15 in '89 and then became a dynasty in the 90s so anything is possible, right?? ;)

REDSKINS!!!

JAGUARS!!!

For the first time ever, both of my teams are in the postseason.

Hmmm yeh ok the Jags are going to go into Foxboro and beat the Pats at home ....possible but NO! Not this year, they are on a mission and have been since week one when all the spygate crap came down. Payton will be next after the Jags, he will come to Gillete and be made to look silly by Bill and company. Pats and Packers in the Bowl....Pats 38 Packers 10:beerbang:

I say Pats and Colts for the Super Bowl. Colts 28 Pats 3

I say Pats and Colts for the Super Bowl. Colts 28 Pats 3 Hmmm Well you can live in a fantasy world all you want but this won't happen. If the Colts had home field advantage i would say they have a shot at beating the Pats, but the don't have home field. Pats 31 Colts 13
