hearing that McGlynn Racing has hired the Cope twins, Amber and Angela, who are Derrike Cope's nieces. Derrile driver the #74 McGlynn Racing in a limited number of Nextel Cup races this season. The twins will supposedly work their way up through the lower divisions up to ACA and Busch Series later this year and 2007. More info on the Twins at twinmotorsportsracing.com.(7-4-2006)

I watched these girls race, and I can tell you they could (should) school Derrick!

That's what i heard too, from what i read they have a ton of talent. Hopefully they will make it to CTS and actually do something , unlike Crocker and a few other women who have made it to these ranks and had little or no impact on the sport.

MOST drivers need to get enough seat time to move on up, step by step. Some have moved too fast or were just a flash in the pan. It takes dedication, sacrifices, and a lot of racing in their history (as in Jeff Gordon who started well before school), parental support, and DESIRE to make it in the "BIG LEAGUES".
That is about the same as with any major sport, be it Baseball, Basketball, Football, or whatever. JMO
