Sorry, I had to let it out. I hate this thing. These races are boring the hell out of me. Please let it just be a bad dream. I thought the point of racing was to go fast. Why does nascar want to keep slowing them down. At the very least, nascar could give us one race, in the old car at Talladega or Daytona, without restrictor plates before this tub of cow **** is full time.

I do like the fact Gordon is kicking ass again.

Feel free to bash me. I know its coming.

Just wondering what you're going to do when they change to the COT totally? Are you going to stop watching like so many have said they'd do with the plate races, or will you continue to watch and complain like so many are doing with the plate races?

You can always go watch go-karts race.

I think all the COT races have been pretty good at the finish. The middle is usually boring even in the old cars.

I'll suck it up and complain until I'm blue in the face and be a grumpy bastard or go back to watching IRL where the cars are actually fast and can turn. But I would have to wait three weeks between races.

They should go ahead and put the drivers in go karts. Same thing as the COT but without the body. Maybe a tad faster.

Because Hendrick's won every race.

I don't like COT because it hurts the smaller teams. And, you cannot tell me David Ragan or A.J. Allmendinger are better drivers than Dale Jarrett, a 3 time Daytona 500 winner and 1999 Series Champion.

The idea has been the oppositte of the result - one team dominating. I know all you Hendrick fans love it - but the majority of us racing fans are sick of the inconsistencies by NASCAR and sick of the COT testing bull.

The only reason hendrick is dominating is because of other people's luck, he has unlimited resources, and he has great drivers.

I like the CoT, I like how they've stopped the aero dependancy. I think it's been good racing.

Kam... if ya hate the COT so much, why is in your avatar?

Ultimately I think the racing has been decent.

To remind me why I'm always feeling like I'm going to puke. I was wondering how long before someone was going to notice that.

Yes, the new car is big and slow. But, I don't mind.

In the past few years, we've gotten used to the sleek aero cars and the fast speeds. Give the new car a whole year, and we'll be used to them. I don't think you need high speeds to have good races.

Once the drivers stop going back and forth between the car they are used to driving and the new car, they will get it figured out and start doing better with it. The crews have no notebook to rely on with the new car, so they are flying blind right now.

You talk about the cars slowing down. I've heard many prominent drivers that they prefer the slower pace. They believe that it will lead to better racing down the road. How can you judge a new car after only racing it a handful of times? Hendricks group hit the right setup to make these things go. The other teams will catch up just as they did when DEI dominated the restricter plate races a few years ago.

AJ's team is smaller than DJ's team. At the same time, DJ's had six mulligans this year on qualifying already. When AJ doesn't make time, AJ goes home...he hasn't had any second chances. Can't say much for Ragan though, but he qualifies well and finishes okay enough to hold onto the top 35.

Does it hurt the smaller teams? Harvick has run decent. Especially compared to some of the others and he's used the same car. This tells me that they will not have to have a 15-18 cars for a season. Maybe just 4 or 5. This is a huge savings that will help the smaller teams.

I agree 100% TRL

I'm betting it's going to suck for a while at 1.5 mile tracks and higher. Restrictor plate tracks are going to be real brutal at first. Once they use it full time, I'll be used to it.

well at the plate tracks, they won't be near as worried that the car doesn't turn in the center (duh, it's bigger and heavier and a higher CoG, it obviously wont be as easy to turn). I personally can't wait to see how it does at dega this fall because i think it will be a great race and we wont' see the big one for the first time in a long time. Now that the bumpers line up, it's harder to get past a guy and easier to bump draft even in the turns, so i think it'll be a good race. Those are reason why even these short track races with it are fun to watch.

I still hate it. Plate tracks will suck. Yea, turning probably won't be an issue but the thing is a brick with tires. Big, slow turd. If there is a "Big One" there will be **** splattered everywhere, literally. I'll like it if they take the plates off.

Car seems to be more durable also which could cut costs down.

Plate tracks already suck, so nothing new there. This idea of the cars exploding into pieces everywhere like everyone predicted just hasn't panned out, so that argument doesn't hold water. These things seem to be holding together as good, if not better than the old car. I guarantee you that if the 48 had been in the old car the way he smacked the wall sunday, he would not have been a contender to win. Also, if a crash in the new car causes enough damage to where they can't come back on the track half speed, in the way, dropping more debris, causing another caution...I think that is a good thing.

slower cars are easier to save. Cars that can bump draft without lifting eachother plum off the ground will prevent crashes. I wouldn't be surprised to see a caution free race.
