First off, you'll hear more Friday and Saturday I'm sure. The American Red Cross is accepting donations to help those affected by the storms in Southern Virginia. Many people have been displaced, and the devastation is extensive. :(

Now, the cool part.

Blue Angels to Fly-By at Richmond International Raceway Saturday, May 3
The sights and sounds at Richmond International Raceway just got even more exciting. The sky above America's Premier Short Track will be invaded by the roaring engines of the internationally known Blue Angels Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron on Saturday, May 3, prior to the Crown Royal Presents The Dan Lowry 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. One of the most anticipated moments of pre-race ceremonies at NASCAR races is the patriotic fly-by performed at the conclusion of the National Anthem. This year's performance is sure to send chills down the spines of 112,029 fans in attendance. Fans who wish to be a part of this event can still purchase tickets to Saturday's race by logging onto www.rir.com or calling the ticket office at 866-455-7223.... >>MORE

Hmmm, something about this is a bit fishy, but first let me say that I love the track and I have witnessed a great fly-over after the National Anthem. But what gets me is that they call the track "America's Premier Short Track" and less than a week from the race, they still have tickets to sell. I wonder what then they would call Bristol? Oh that's right, Smitty owns BIS. Okay, now I've got it.

Hey Andy, why didn't you pick up on this? You always have something negative to say about everything.

You know Richmond has sold out every year since 1985? Is it '85 or '86?

I've got a simple answer for why it hasn't sold out. About 1/3 of the plates in the parking lots at RIR are from Maryland. Ever since taxes went up, people are going broke. And, now the MVA is going after everyone for everything to get money. So, I'll be conservative and say it's only 1/4 of that 1/3 is too broke to go.

It's not RIR's fault, it's Owe'Malley's fault.

Okay, did I let anyone down? :D

:XXROFL:

I'd say given tonight's breaking story, there's probably several more people who won't be going.

On another note, MIR's expecting record attendance. I might change my plans and just go to the Nationwide race. I'm finalizing everything tomorrow, and it the littlest thing goes wrong, I just go to Busch.

They're calling for severe storms Saturday night, and Andy is not doing the Sunday thing again.

Now he's referring to himself in the 3rd person...

So its not the gas prices?

Sure it is. I just had to take the opportunity to blame Owe'Malley. :D

I know...thats why i posed the question about gas prices.

You like to blame your democratic state for everything....i just wanted to point out that you were wrong.

Can't you people get a joke.

That's why I said:

Surely, you knew I'd find some way to spin it and blame Owe'Malley.

I tried. Sorry I let you down. :(
