A short track somewhere
Or north of the Mason-Dixon Line or east of New Mexico. I haven't been to a location where there weren't numerous Country stations on the dial here in the northeast.

Down my way it's all country and classic rock. I don't like modern country and I've heard every classic rock song hundreds of times.

Thank goodness for iHeartRadio.

What a coincidence, my Pandora feed is mainly Country and Classic Rock. Hundreds of times ain't nothin' I gotta be on thousands at this point. Good stuff!

Country music is very mainstream now. Flip through radio stations on your FM dial and you'll see. It's the most popular genre right now, and dominates airwaves.

Which shows America has incredibly ****** taste in music. The traditional "top 40"/"pop" music and rock music coming out today is pretty good, but people hate it and would rather listen to country.

Thats because most "country" is really rock, pop or the really crappy "country rap"

It's crap.

Rock music is great obviously, and some of the pop music coming out these days is pretty good honestly. I'm definitely a fan of Twenty One Pilots and Lady Gaga. Rachel Platten and Ariana Grande too. Even the music Miley Cyrus is coming out with now is pretty decent.

Country music is ****. Some I like, like Stapleton, Jinks, Musgraves, the outlaw country, but most is pure ****.

I've got tons of classic rock and oldies on my Samsung as it is. And one of my Pandora presets is classic rock.

I mainly listen to 90s alternative, although sometimes I'm in the mood for something different.

Right now, I'm enjoying the music of the greatest film score composer of all time, the one and only John Williams.

Country music is sh!t. Some I like, like Stapleton, Jinks, Musgraves, the outlaw country, but most is pure sh!t.
Check out Margo Price, she reminds me of a mix of Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette (spelling?)

I enjoy country MUSIC; it's the lyrics I can't relate to. I've never been drunk, unhappily married, or foreclosed on. I've only been unemployed once, and when a dog dies I get another one.

That is one of the best lines I have ever heard. In fact I have used it a few times myself and did my best to keep a straight face when somebody asked me what kind of music I liked.

Not a big country fan but Sturgill Simpson is pretty badass and is pretty traditional minus some of the psychedelic sounds..

Yeah I love country but hate the message in a lot of it. If I had any musical talent I'd start a country band called Anti-Dixie, and if you thought the Dixie Chicks get hate just watch me go.

I like Luke Bryan, anything I've heard of his is good.

Don't ask me why I don't listen to country music. I'm just kinda silly.

Living in Nashville you'd think we'd be knee deep in country here, but if you go downtown on 2nd and Broadway where all the bars are, it's a pretty even mix of country, blues, and rock. Musical tastes here are actually pretty diverse.

Some of the best blues bars in the country.

There's a bar down there called Big Shotz I go to quite a bit. It's a little divey, but it's a fun atmosphere with good music.
Usually those are the best kind for a blues bar.

No more damn truck songs

90% of modern "country" isn't country. It's pop with a southern accent. I can't stand a lot of these poser artists nowadays. Sam Hunt is the WORST. I absolutely despise his terrible music with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. Just plain awful and it makes me lose faith in humanity that this clown is somehow rich/famous/popular

it's pretty scary the direction the music business has gone, but it has been going on for a long time and they continue to refine it even more as time rolls on. The gatekeepers feed that music to the masses. It's formula music targeted at the cd buyers who are very young for the most part. I surf YouTube quite a bit. There is quite a bit of good music out there, but I have to sift thru quite a bit of garbage to find it.

And the radio stations get paid to stuff crap down your throat...payolas....I quit listening to FM years ago.

yeah for sure, a whole lot do drink the cool aid, I get pissed if I try to listen to the FM around here. One corporation owns 90% of the radio stations. The others are religious for the most part.

When I lived in California in the 60's the "underground" FM stations would play the whole side of an album at a time. Hard to believe now days.
