Craven, sponsor re-up with No. 32 team
By DAVID POOLE
The Charlotte Observer
PPI Motorsports has extended its contracts with driver Ricky Craven and primary sponsor Tide through the 2006 season, the team announced Saturday.
"There is no doubt Ricky Craven has helped bring both success and stability to our relatively young NASCAR program," said Cal Wells, the team owner.
"Ricky's experience and ability have contributed greatly to the progress we've made as a single-car team."
Craven's down-to-the-wire victory over Kurt Busch at Darlington in March is the only race won by a single-car Winston Cup team this season.
Craven got his first career win in the team's car in October 2001 at Martinsville, which is the next race on the schedule following Saturday night's UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
