Winning Crew Chief Departs Richard Childress Racing
Rick Viers, winning crew chief for Richard Childress Racing (RCR) and driver Kevin Harvick has parted ways with RCR effective immediately.
Viers, who has a record of eight wins and four poles over his career is looking forward to pursuing new opportunities.
“I’ve had a long great relationship with Richard and the folks at RCR. I had the opportunity to work with one of the best drivers of all time, Dale Earnhardt and to crew chief and win races with one of the promising stars, Kevin Harvick, but it was time to move on."
Viers is pursuing new crew chief opportunities in the Busch and Cup Series.
