They should choose one series, and one series ONLY.

I went with limited races. Should be limited to 5 races per year. Should also limit the number of cup drivers per race.

I went with none, I think the series needs to be a stand alone, meaning no Cup guys for awhile until it gets its' identity back, then allow Cup guys to come in for a max of 5races per year.

I'm sorta on the fence on this issue.

On one hand, I'd like to see some of these "younguns", if you will, race solely against each other in the Nationwide series. And watch the cream rise to the top. Granted, you'll still have the haves and have-nots in the series as far as financial backing goes, but you still can't buy talent. Whoever excels will turn heads in the Cup garage.

On the other hand, let's take a look from the Nationwide driver perspective. Maybe some of these drivers want to race against the Cup drivers and see it as both a challenge and learning experience. Perhaps those NNS drivers who, deep down, know they'll never make it to Cup, will cherish the day they can one day sit down with their grandchildren and proudly tell them they'd once run with the Kyle Buschs's and Carl Edwards's of their day. Or more truthfully, were simply rooted out of the way.

So ... if you ask me to choose - or else confine me to a locked room in front of a tv broadcasting "Say Yes to the Dress" continuously, I'll go with Cup drivers only in NNS races not held in conjunction with a Cup race (i.e. Nashville, Iowa, and both the Mexico and Canada road course races).

I think they ought to be allowed to run 10 events on the schedule, whats the point of allowing them to run the entire schedule but not get points, that means a Cup regular like Kyle Busch for example could still run every event and win 11 or 12 races but not get the title even though he clearly is the real champion. The Nationwide series is supposed to be like the Minors in Major League Baseball, it's a series made for up and comming drivers trying to get into the Cup series not a playground for existing Cup drivers to refine their skills.

The same as a minor league players in the Rookie League will talk about the time he played beside the big league pitcher making a rehab start? Also Mexicos been off the schedule for about 3 years now.

The drivers are only the most visable part of the problem. How about Cup teams, and their affiliates (RCR/KHI or JGR/KBR for example)? How about limiting their participation? For example, they can use only drivers officially in their development programsexcept for the very limited number of races they use their Cup drivers?

I pretty much agree. I've always thought that any multi-car team should be allowed to compete in NNS

I take it that you meant to put a "Not" between "should" and "be?"

Whatever, I believe that it is pretty evident that the intrusion in BGN of Cup teams and drivers, AND the changing of venues from small tracks, where the series runs independently, to the bigger, cookie-cutter tracks, where they run companion events, has pretty much destroyed what was one a very good developmental circuit and a viable Cup farm system where up and coming drivers got the experience of running competitively at a high level. Now about the only experience they get is following the Cup Raiders.

Yes, something like that. Randy Johnson here in Az was sent down to the Tuscon triple a team for a couple of stints back in the day. I would think some of his temporary pitching teamates treasured the experience. I say some because not all were fond of Randy. That's just one example.

Oops. I was trying to rattle off some tracks I've known the NNS had as stand alone events. Not sure why I came up with that one.
