they have a level playing field and mikey still can't make the race?

well, mayfield and AJ made their first race of the season. And this is race 5, correct?

good job on blaney getting a yota in the top 10.

Oh i think Kurt will be safe on not getting lap..there are going to be plenty of cautions..legit this time.

No body mentioned that Front Row Joe didn't make the race. This is going to hurt him in the points. If he doesn't do better in qualifying next week, it may be more of an uphill battle than the Toyotas. What a shame.

But CB he is 19th in points right now..surely he'll lose up to 5 spots if not more..but i think he'll still be in the top 35 after Bristol..no?

reck, that is true, but if he's having problems at Bristol, will he have those problems solved by next week at Martinsville? I don't think that he can afford to miss two races.

:bounce: GO JEFFY GO:bounce:

If Jeffy finishes good, with Mark out this week, Jeffy could be the points leader leaving Bristol. Going to Martinsville, everyone knows who rules there.

Ginn is chevy's.

edit- reread, now i see what you mean

Im not a Mikey fan, but they should do away with the top 35 in owners points are locked in bullcrap. Race in on time, do a "heat" race, something. Kurt Bush should be headed home with a time like that.

I agree.

in fact, had ragan, harvick, and busch not made it, mikey would have.

You know, it seems like that Blaney shows up to race every time. Good luck to 'em.

I agree! You should be able to "race your way in" to every race. I'm sure fans would enjoy seeing a heat race each weekend too.

Mikey has missed 4 races in a row..failed to.

NA$CAR cant help it if the guy is that slow week in and out.

but he was faster than 3 cars that only made the race because of points.

Yup, thats my point. Point should not set the filed. I could live with one or two that are set in. a) highest drive in the points that did not make it. b) fastest car in quif that did not make. (heck i dont know, i cant think i just woke up..lol) but have then start on the tail-end of the filed. the rest will be lined up as to the heat.

Take anywhere between 100-200 miles off the main race. run 2-3 25-100 mile heats. That would add some exciment to everything.

Then again that idea is already taken..they do that in Motorcross also.

Thats how most racing is done, so does it really matter if someone else is already doing it? I basied my idea from Dirt track racing.
