“Get on the bandwagon or get run over by it”
I give that a 7. Still can’t beat I beat your favorite driver.

Yeah i don't blame you. Doubt he did it on purpose, but he definitely made a mistake. So I don't blame you for being pissed

I like Chase. It was a racing deal. But I'm still gonna be pissed because it knocked my guy out of the playoffs. I legitimately think he would've had a top-10 today and gotten stage points.

He's good at short tracks, I give me a decent chance to win Bristol tbh. Don't think it's over for him yet

Bummed about that late caution. Thought the 22 had an outside chance to win with a top 3 pretty much a guarantee. Oh well onto next week.

See this is why I am not a betting person. If you told me HMS would be that good yesterday after the beatdown last week and this being a terrible track for them I would have laughed at you but they all ran good. I was super-bummed about what happened with Chase and the 21 because that was on Chase and it's not like him at all. Chase was more aggressive all day then normal and was really happy with the car which are both good things. It was not egregious or anything but Chase overdrove it and ruined another driver's day/playoff and that sucks. Just when I was feeling bad though about what Chase had done Larson says "hold my beer" and just dive bombs the corner and takes out the 12. I thought for sure there would be pay back on that but at least Blaney was able to save it.

It was a pretty good race - Hard to pass up front but at least guys could make their way through the field and tires meant something. I wish tires meant just a little more and the leader could be passed but other than that not too bad. This is good as I am not looking forward to the Larson parade next weekend. Still have a bad taste in my mouth from being at the spring race.

Bell not happy at all.

I think almost every driver snaps at times. Drivers are high-strung and maxed out on adrenaline during a race.

The great ones also believe they are the best driver that ever lived. That kind of confidence is almost a prerequisite. The smart ones are just discreet enough not to show that side.

Confident enough to think that if all things are equal, they will win. The only thing that can stop him is for someone to cheat him or the incompetence of his team.

That isn't a combination that allows for a lot of sweet talk on the radio.

All great points. That said, this is today's NASCAR. It seems the best car rarely wins which is another reason "win and you're in" should go by the wayside. I feel Bell's pain though. I cannot imagine what it's like to be in that car all day driving your ass off an know that no matter what you did you were not going to win. I find his frustration refreshing TBH as I have listened to Chase's in-car all year and he has mastered not losing his cool on the radio to a point my father wonders if he even cares. LOL

Agreed, and very few are perfectly balanced when it comes to managing their emotions in the toughest situations.

I meant what I previously posted about most drivers, but in fairness, they have to provide feedback, including telling the team what he needs to win.

I think hot mics and especially the radio conversations are a tough deal and can be a disservice to the drivers and the team.

It is all out there in the public, but that is no guarantee that people will hear or consider the full context. Someone could be almost always supportive and positive, only to get tagged and branded for a 30-second meltdown.

They live in real time and they dont have the opportunity of reviewing and editing a comment prior to posting.
