Open at the green.

I will be on the road toward Washington, D.C. this weekend. My father's ashes are going to be interred
at Arlington Cemetery.

I have given TEMPORARY permission to a member to open the race thread. I will be here in the
evenings as soon as we stop for the night and I establish a connection to Wi-Fi with my laptop.

Note to TRL: Your "Temp" did a great job - thread was opened at the exact time of the green flag.

Hang in there today :salute:

Truex wanted to switch with Jimmie, wanted the outside half a lap before the green, so he was pissed. Friggin guy. 48 is still as good as anyone on the clock.

He'll be there. 18 wins this though.

DJ thinks we have a first time winner today, so I'll roll with that

Larson was complaining in practice how bad he was on long runs. Guess it doesn't matter when you have speed with the gen 6

A first winner would be nice, but this is looking to be another MTJ race to lose

Between the camera work and this bunch of yappers ..tell me is there a race going on? It's like it is a sport talk show or something.

Sounds like you are watching something else, the channel you are looking for is NBCS/N

Truex marching away from the pack again. Is he that good? Is the car tricked up in a new way? Mix of both? (My guess).

I was surprised to see there have been four first time winners at this track (Nemechek in '99, Newman in '02, Bowyer in '07, Logano in '09), not typically a track I've thought of as producing a lot of first time winners.

42 will use his brakes up just like Sonoma.
