Something dirty Denny never has had a concept of. Racing clean. Roger expects us to. Preacher Joe? Eh, I just let the drivers handle it.

He basically said you’re on your own, don’t ask grandpa for help to Ty.
Denny is the elder statesman there.
And honestly as much as I don’t like Denny, the only part I really had any issue with was how close it came to collecting Bell.

Well...super bummed we did not go to the race and I got what I deserved there. Hands down the best Loudon race in years and maybe the best I have seen.

My only "downer" thought is that Team Penske spanked the field and that has me worried the championship is simply theirs to lose since Phoenix is similar to Loudon. I don't think Cindric will be in the final 4 but Joey and Blaney very well could be and if so I am not sure anyone will have anything for them.

That aside though - a great race where cars could pass and getting stuck back in traffic was not a death sentence and we had some....controversy as well. I know it's easy to vilify Denny because he can be such a mouthy arrogant p#$&# but this is a case where to me they were BOTH in the wrong. There is no way Ty should be racing his teammate that hard for 10th and even blocking them. On the flip side though you do not dump your teammate. I am surprised coach Gibbs did not tell Ty to let him go before it happened. Either way we can all get our popcorn ready and wait and see what Denny has to say on AD this week. LOL

As for Chase...Man I'd would guess that Loudon and WWT have been his 2 worst tracks performance-wise and he goes out in the playoffs and snags a top-5 at both and did so on performance - not strategy. He had nothing for Penske yesterday especially on a short run but there were times at the end of a long run that he was turning the fastest laps on the track and he was consistently top 3-5. If they ever could have gotten out front on a long run he may have had a shot. Either way though I have gone from thinking he could be axed this round and not make the round of 8 to really liking his chances. Still needs to run well but Kansas and The Roval have been good tracks for him. Just need to get better at qualifying. At the start of the race Chase's line did not go and he got shuffled to like 33rd and then just passed his way to the top-5. Pretty impressive.

The tire had just enough fall off to me to make it interesting but I would have liked to have seen a little more. But again - a great race and for so many like me that like to complain about NASCAR and this car I need to acknowledge they are making gains and if short track races can be like that NASCAR will be just fine.

Nascar running 24 lame ducks against 12 that could still win the title is a huge part of the problem. To think that 24 drivers who are usually wired to be high-strung would ever accept being a placeholder or eunuch and just there to stay out of the way.

Hamlin aggravated, thinking Gibbs raced him too hard, and he could have taken Bell out while delivering the message.

I would fault Gibbs for running Bell three wide and especially for doing it while battling for something like 10th place, but Hamlin isn't justified imo.

Who would want a driver who isn't doing all he can to get to the front? What kind of message would that send to his team that is presumably giving a 100 percent effort.

Here is the whole Yotathon cluster start to finish between all three of them.

Geez Ty, they are way faster...let 'em pass. Is Ryan Newman coaching him? And FWIW that nudge from Denny looked slight at best...is it only me or did the #54 back up right before the contact?
