Cup RACE thread ---- Martinsville

We get blessed with a Saturday night Martinsville race and we get weather. Life is cruel.
Eh, should clear up in 30 minutes. Looks clear for the night.

So this thing won’t start until 9:30-10:00. Ugh, just ugh.

How long does it take to dry? It seems like it's gonna be cleared out by 8

I was factoring an hour and a half or 2. Since it’s shorter, may take less

I think this is because they shortened the race, mother nature wants 500 laps at Martinsville too!

Its really ironic they adjusted the race length to accommodate the race start time and now its going to start later

Some interesting points there from Chase about wear and tear. That would definitely suck.

If it is like all of the other times, the 10 car on the front row will be a rolling road block until he falls back into the 20's

Get the cars on the track we need that DW vortex going

I would like to see this. It is standard SOP when the local pavement track is damp/drying to get a few dozen race cars on track to just make laps at below-caution pace and get heat in the track. No reason NASCAR couldnt do this. It'd make a HUGE difference on a half mile track like this.

SIAP

Stages: 80-100-220
Fuel window 154 laps according to some, 170-180 per others
Dinger to the rear and also has to serve a pass-thru due to failing inspection 3 times
