Approx 100000. Less than half of Indy.

Was shocked to see how empty the stadium section was right behind the booth.

I noticed that too in multiple grandstands. Often the adjoining srand was packed. I suspect the empty stands were closed and the track planned on not selling tickets for those seats. It will be interesting to see if they open more stands next year.

It appears to suffer from the same affliction as Bristol. Both hold approximately 100,000 fans Mexico is reported at 110,000 capacity so when Bristol is half full, the seat counters lose their sh*t because 50,000 fans showed up. That's a figure that would be 10,000 more fans than will be going to sold out Iowa.

FYI, multiple sorces say Bristol currently seats 146,000.

That is correct. It used to be over 160,000. Some drink rails have been installed and some of the upper sections are covered by banners. When Bristol is half full it’s still over 70k. Sold out NFL games are around that number.

Logano has always been a scrapper, nothing new IMO. His old man is a badass, grandfather also, he comes by it naturally.
