Happy for Brad as an owner.

Buescher as a driver just never did it for me.

Damn. MTJ can’t even win in a cheated up car.
Here's my obligatory "if you really believe any of the say top 25 teams are sending legal cars to the track, I've got some real estate to discuss selling to you" post. ;)

Unless Chevrolet has some R&D tricks up their sleeve that they've been sitting on, they're in some hot water. 3 weeks at a couple road courses and a speedway isn't gonna help much in terms of catching up

If Jack ever had any doubts about the future of his creation, he should be feeling just fine now.

Resurgent RFK, whodathunkit.
Good, happy for Jack. I wonder if he was there? He used to almost own that track....

5 still has had pace with the exception of last week.

May be MTJs season to lose though.

Buescher breaking out with repeat wins is one of the very best feel good stories of the year. He gets the job done and good speed without any BS ,drama, or stupid stunts.
It is the kind of quiet stuff that commands respect.

Even if I don’t think MTJ was cheated up. Is kinda odd they didn’t take his car back to be looked at with how fast he was

Kez's best time was identical to Truex. Bell was a bit behind but faster than Buescher.

Nobody's calling for their cars to go to R&D. Why not?

I turned the sound off after at least 350 gerbil mentions of Truex. I can't believe Nascar didn't want to take a look at the car and neither can many other fans. Take Buescher's car also and a random pick from the field. That is the way they used to do it. :idunno:

So very much agreed. To borrow another poster’s turn of phrase, he has paid his dues and some. Broke a long drought last year, comes back looking racy this year and caps off the highlight reel (so far) with back to back wins - up against some pretty good opposition both weeks. Wish Truex could’ve crossed Michigan out but hard to begrudge a winner like Buescher.

Tbh I’d bet a lot of money that in about a month we see a big upswing in speed for at least the 5 and 24 (and maybe the 8 but at least those 2). The summer R&D/test session is almost over.

It took until the next day for the gerbils to figure out it wasn't a tire problem drama at Michigan, but that the teams had learned how to tweak and trim out the cars for high speeds and as always LOOSE is fast. It looked to me that quite a few teams besides Hendrick had gone that way. But that big flat billboard isn't on the right side of the car anymore, mistakes are easier to make. Larson kept getting better and finished top 5. The rest of Hendrick cars were good, Byron was racing hard and lost it, Elliott had a blowout and Bowman got caught up in a wreck. I'm not panicking

There is no team with a lineup stronger overall than HMS. Anyone can have an off year.
