Open at the green.
Looking for a good race today.
Its Phoenix baby!!!!, lets do some racing in desert
#9 to the lead.
New leader, #9
Sure wish I had some of that sunshine.
I got my Boogity on DW. Boogity.
Oh boy. That’s a bad error.
Are you kidding me?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I thought they didn’t ever give Chase a penalty.

"I was just springing forward..." – Chase Elliott
Correction......9 to the pits
Chase Elliott just oneupped Jeff Gordon on how to **** up start.
NASCAR's golden boy getting preferential treatment again
What a dumb penalty. If the leader spins tires on the start of the race, the guy on the outside shouldn't get shafted. Go when the flag waves ffs.
Blaney spun the tires real bad. I don't blame him for getting a better launch. Its a wild rule, but its what NASCAR wants.
Right? Like can you believe it?
Yeah.. too soon
I am at work. What happened to Elliott?
Okay, Chase didn't lose a lap, and it's still early to where Chase can recover, he has had a fast car all weekend
Thank you so much for sharing that with me.
I’m jealous of the weather Phoenix is having, I wish I lived there,
Chase takes the early lead in balloting for bone-head of the race . . . .
Chase should know he's supposed to spin his tires there too. What an idiot.
Beat Blaney(polesitter) to green flag after YRB spun his tires
In all actuality that rule is blatantly stupid. When the leader decides to go or the green flag waves its the leader’s job to get up on it. If he doesnt make it to the line first then so be it, the 2nd place driver did a better job. That rule/penalty is the antithesis to racing.
I guess his crystal ball wasn't working to know that Blaney was gonna spin his tires.
Well, that was a bad start for Elliot, but it's still early in the race, shouldn't be too hard to overcome and get back up there.
Not really a boneheaded move if the other guy spins his tires.
Chase has good pace, he's running top 5 times.
This 18 car is smoking though.
Im loving it
The rule isn't stupid --
the Pole Winner should start alone in the "front row" -- but since they start side by side NASCAR mandates the LEADER leads at the Green Flag at the START of the race.
It's Chase's responsibility to jump on his brakes and stack up the whole field causing a massive chain reaction wreck that NASCAR can then show in highlight reels for the track in question for years to come.
It's not a stupid rule, but there should be contingency for when the leader spin his tires on the start.
