Today is the 60th anniversary of the invasion of Normandy. Hundreds of our finest young men gave their lives on the beaches of France in the quest for freedom.

Please take a moment today to remember those who paid the ultimate price. If you see a WWII vet, say thank you.

A total of 1,465 American men were killed in action 60 years ago today in the D-day invasion.

I hope we never forgot their sacrifices for their Country.

I understand Dover/Nascar will have a special remembrance planned for today.
