They had an interview with Redskins Safety Chris Cooley and Hendrick's Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on the local news and Junyer had stated he wanted to be a Redskins player, but never played football in high school.

I wonder why he never pursued a career in football.

Anyways, NBC4 Sports will air the second half of the interview next Monday afternoon around 5:50pm on NBC4.com.

Because he probably sucks and never went to college. Not many NFL teams take walk-ons with no college experience.

Another useless thread by AndyMarquisLIVE, ladies and gentlemen. Give him a hand.

Now that's sarcasm.

Did I get under your skin calling you out on your sexist remarks about Danica Patrick (which you called a "joke")? :(

I don't know how well Jr did in math, but Jr it goes like this

No Highschool football + No college = NO FOOTBALL

Everyone has dreams --- what's so wrong about Dale wanting to be a Redskin?

And it was obvious why he didn't play football ---- too small.

And though he didn't go to a 4 year college, he did get a 2 year associate degree.

Sorry to disappoint you Andy but calling me sexist does not bother me in the least because I am. It does not bother me at all.

I was not knocking him on not going to college; he is doing way better than most people who are very educated. I was just saying that with no organized football experience there was virtually no way he could pursue a career in the sports highest level. There is nothing wrong with dreams, I wanted to be a starting forward for the Chicago Blackhawks but I suck so thats as far as that went.

As Farooq would say, Damn... :D

Oh, and I suppose its better to dream about being a Redskins player than a foreskins player...

We're talking about the Redskins though. :XXROFL:

It's not like you have to be Tom Brady to be a Redskin. For chrissake, google Jason Campbell's record.

Yeah because he is doing so much better then Kyle.:sarcasm:

JR. will never win the title. He cant take the heat.

Kyle?

Kyle's got everyone beat, not just Jr.
Sorry, that's not a valid comparison.

yeah like at richmond kyle won when they racing for the win, oh wait a minute kyle had to move him to win the race.

Like Jr has never wrecked anyone?

When Kyle uses the restroom, he pisses away more talent the jr will ever have.

Lol!!
I don't have a problem with the Richmond race, hard racing as I see it.
As for the urine. Once again, I believe that comparison can be made to most of the field.
But to say Jr has no talent and be second in points? I don't think so.

I guess you could say the same thing about Mark Martin. I wouldn't, but I guess you would.
How many times has Mark been there?

Just wondering, why do you have such hatred for any person? Is it that you are jealous of this young man, or do you just hate for the sake of hate? Or are you what we called you in the past, nothing but a passing troll getting your jollies off upseting people? It's a pitty that anyone has this much animosity stored up in them.

But buck go back and look at RCR's post a few months ago. What we have here is a kinder gentler RCR4Life. Admittedly his posts can still rub a few people the wrong way but darn its better than what they were. So he is making some progress.

But then I find the urine comment funny.

As much as I don't like Kyle and I do like Junyer, this comment was actually funny. :XXROFL:

I think sledge should take lessons from RCR4Life on how to be funny on occassion.

Whoa Whoa Whoa! Back the jolies train up here. I never said Jr didn't have any talent. I said Kyle has allot more then Jr. If Jr didn't have any talent he would not be second in points exactly as you say.

But if It wernt for his last name, Jr wouldn't be where he is right now eather

Cant we all just get along?

We can all get along just fine but you have to remember, your caustic remarks strike a lot of people the wrong way. It's your way of replying. And, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that I've read where you have written many times that you didn't think Jr. had any talent. And the extreme example you gave provoking my post is just the most recent.

Would Busch? or would your boy Burton be where they are today if it werent for their last names?

Which does open up an interesting topic. I think Kyle would be in Nascar even if Kurt wasn't. It may have taken him longer to get there but his talent would have won out.
And for that matter would Kyle Petty or Dale Jarrett have made it to Nascar without help? Does having the right last name and talent go further than having a lot of talent and not having a relative or close friend to open the doors?

I think there is no question that having the same last name as someone helps a lot.

Just look at all of the family ties within nascar, you mention Kyle....dont forget Richard, would he have even raced if it wasnt for Lee?...or what about Earnhardt Sr...it certainly didnt hurt that everyone knew his dad was Ralph Earnhardt.

His remark was clearly a joke. I thought the urine comment was hilarious.

I think having the right name makes a huge difference. There's tons of talented drivers at local tracks that no one will ever hear of except the locals. I think it also matters which track is your "local track." Some places get far more attention than others and are more apt to have people who can afford to sponsor someone in a higher series even see them. There's also a matter of money as to whether you could even adventure out of your local track no matter how good you are, for example going on to a eastern series, etc. Names and money talk.

Good point, WNY24. You're more likely to be seen and noticed if you're able to race in places where "names" might see you.

The little dirt track we raced in the 70s, was so far off the beaten path that maps didn't go there. LOL And there were some VERY good racers there. In fact, the old man that owned the car, and occasionally drove it, started his racing with AJ Foyt --- beating him regularly while AJ drove dirt.
