Well I certainly don't think that that was what MW ever thought...becuse that wasn't the case. Granted DE was trying to block...and the guy he was most concerned with was Marlin...a known big track expert who had major horsepower in the Coors Light car. If you all remember before - they used to call him "Nigel Marlin" because at the time his car made a different sound that the other guys' cars and could pass at will.
Remember, Marlin won two Daytona 500s and two races at Talladega. His prime was before this (accident) in the Morgan-McClure #4 but I'm sure Dale worried more about him that he did about Kenny Schrader on that last lap.
